Randomness (in addition to repetition and precision) is something computers are uniquely good at. Harnessing randomness is something at the very heart of game design and generative art/design.
Thoughts on how this benefits us as artists and designers?
A random starting condition influences the user/player/visitorโs experience of a space and/or the decisions they might make within it.
After the person interacts with the experience, randomness affects the result. The unpredictability undercuts strategy.
