Hello! I'm a designer and front-end developer currently helping to tell stories at The New York Times. I also teach Algorithmic Botany at the School for Poetic Computation and interaction design at the Parsons School of Design.

I care deeply about the craft of digital design from concept to code. Before any designing or coding happens, I try my best to understand the narrative, the why, of what I’m building, whether it’s interactive journalism, a t-shirt, or a digital product. My hope is that there is a sense of clarity for anyone who interacts with my work.

I design and code interactive stories at the New York Times.

They sometimes let me write stories too. Below are some of my favorites.
